Mentors are professionals in CAP's practice areas (Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, Historic Preservation, and Interior Design) who guide and advise student mentees in their career development to help them succeed. A mentor's role is to inspire, encourage, and support their mentees.

We intentionally seek professionals who reflect the diversity of all our students at CAP: over half of our undergraduates are students of color, and over half are first-generation college students. We also need more mentors from across the gender spectrum and LGBTQIA+ identities. These are not prerequisites to join us, but we ask you to be intentional with your time and energy, as we also balance a limited number of seats we pay for in this program.

Mentees are students who want guidance and advice to further their careers and to be successful. Mentees can expect to strengthen and build their networks, and gain the skills and confidence necessary to excel.
